Role Overview
We are seeking a candidate with extensive expertise in Non-Motor Insurance claims, ideally with over a decade of experience in the insurance sector, including a minimum of five years in a managerial capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to claim inquiries, delivering accurate updates regarding claim statuses.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced customer service and recommend process enhancements to improve overall business performance.
- Utilize standard tracking methods to oversee work processing ensuring timeliness, efficiency, and high-quality claim handling.
- Support the team in claim processing activities, including maintaining adequate reserves primarily for the following classes: Fire, Engineering, Energy, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull, Miscellaneous, Motor Trade, Liability, Workmen Compensation, Third Party Liability (TPL), adhering to established procedures.
- Collaborate closely with various departments, offices, and branches to align with business requirements.
- Manage claim processes, with particular emphasis on handling large losses.
- Conduct periodic claim reviews, monitor claim disposals regularly, and analyze claim aging.
- Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to team members.
- Engage in regular communication with Loss Adjusters, Brokers, Clients, Reinsurers, and other relevant stakeholders to support business needs.
- Work under the direction of the Head of Non-Motor Claims, acting as a key contact point, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in any field, preferably engineering.
- A diploma or master’s degree in Risk & Insurance Management is advantageous.
- Possession of an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is preferred.
- Proficient in English with strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in insurance claims, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
