.NET Technical Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced .NET Technical Architect with 12 to16 years of IT experience, capable of designing modern, scalable, and secure platforms. This role involves defining the target architecture for distributed .NET platforms, especially focusing on cloud-native solutions running on Azure, and providing hands-on guidance to engineering teams. You will be responsible for shaping architectures that prioritize scalability, resilience, and configurability while supporting rapid delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve the architectural blueprint for .NET-based distributed platforms.
• Design highly adaptable and scalable cloud solutions on Azure, ensuring tenant isolation, resilience, maintainability, and efficient delivery timelines.
• Lead design efforts for ASP.NET Core services, RESTful APIs, event-driven workflows, background processing, and integration frameworks.
• Promote adoption of contemporary architectural practices, including microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven systems, API-first methodologies, and secure inter-service communication.
• Work closely with engineering teams to review designs and code, offering practical guidance on performance enhancement, operational excellence, and production readiness.
• Architect Azure-native deployment methods utilizing AKS, containers, API Management, messaging systems like Service Bus/Event Grid, Key Vault, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with data and platform teams to design PostgreSQL-based services, optimize data access, caching mechanisms, and ensure database performance for high transaction volumes.
• Set non-functional requirements and architectural standards concerning performance, availability, security, compliance, cost efficiency, and disaster recovery.
• Integrate DevSecOps principles and observability tools into platform design to enhance telemetry, tracing, alerting, diagnostics, secrets management, and release oversight.
• Assess emerging technologies and AI-enabled engineering innovations, making pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and technical leads, contribute to governance frameworks, and develop reusable architectural patterns and standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA or equivalent).
• 12-16+ years of professional experience in software engineering and solution architecture, primarily with Microsoft technologies.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET Core (including .NET 8), ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and background service design.
• Extensive experience in building distributed systems utilizing microservices, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures, and API-centric integrations.
• Robust expertise in Azure cloud solutions including AKS, App Services, Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage solutions, monitoring, and identity management.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query tuning, and transaction management.
• Advanced understanding of non-functional requirements like scalability, fault tolerance, observability, disaster recovery, and security practices including secure coding and compliance requirements.
• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and modern DevSecOps methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management across diverse functional teams.

Additional Experience and Knowledge

• Familiarity with insurance, Insurtech, BFSI or other heavily regulated, transaction-oriented sectors.
• Understanding of policy administration, billing, claims management, accounting, workflow orchestration, or reporting platforms within insurance.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks like TOGAF (certification preferred), domain-driven design, UML, and C4 modeling.
• Experience navigating heterogeneous tech stacks involving .NET, Java/Spring Boot, and enterprise workflow tools.
• Use of observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, or Grafana.
• Basic experience with modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
• Exposure to AI-powered engineering solutions or intelligent automation integration in platforms.
• Leadership experience managing globally distributed or virtual technical teams.
