What you will do
You will support a range of commercial molecular and microbiological service activities while working closely with experienced microbiologists and molecular biologists. The role suits someone who is motivated, eager to learn and ready to contribute to varied laboratory projects.
Required background
The ideal candidate will have a BSc degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Molecular Microbiology or another relevant scientific subject. Prior lab experience in a commercial setting is helpful, but it is not mandatory because complete training will be provided to the right person.
Useful experience
- Hands-on aseptic laboratory practice
- Experience with DNA extraction and purification
- Knowledge of PCR and qPCR methods
- Exposure to DNA sequencing platforms and workflows
- Experience working in ISO 9001, GMP or other controlled quality systems is an advantage, though not essential
