Job summary
This role supports the setup, improvement, and ongoing upkeep of injection molding operations and related equipment. The position helps run mold trials, validation work, and troubleshooting efforts so production stays efficient and product quality remains high.
What you will do
- Help establish and fine-tune molding process settings such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Support mold trials, new product introduction activities, and process validation work.
- Carry out basic upkeep and fault-finding for molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and molds.
- Review process data to spot improvement opportunities and apply corrective actions.
- Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for molding operations.
- Work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to solve technical problems.
- Take part in root-cause analysis for molding defects and help implement fixes.
- Keep the work area safe, orderly, and aligned with company safety rules.
- Support training for production staff on molding processes and equipment use.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the molding function.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in plastics, mechanical, industrial, or a similar discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with injection molding in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic knowledge of plastic materials and how they behave.
- Familiarity with injection molding machines, tooling, and supporting equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime when needed.
