About the Role
We are looking for a proficient Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development. The role involves extensive use of SolidWorks 2018 for creating mechanical components and assemblies. The engineer will be responsible for reverse engineering, applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards, and providing onsite technical support, especially related to pneumatic, fluid, and basic robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and complete systems using SolidWorks 2018 tools.
- Generate precise 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models tailored to project requirements.
- Execute reverse engineering tasks and devise innovative design solutions.
- Create manufacturing drawings incorporating accurate GD&T annotations to ensure quality and conformity.
- Support the entire product lifecycle from initial concept design through production.
- Implement engineering changes and design modifications promptly and effectively.
- Operate measuring instruments and carry out dimensional verification of components.
- Offer onsite technical assistance during installation, testing phases, and equipment commissioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure completion of project objectives within scheduled timelines.
- Assist in the integration activities of pneumatic systems, fluid mechanisms, and robotic equipment.
Requirements
- Either a Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional experience ranging from 3 to 5 years in mechanical design engineering.
- Strong command of SolidWorks 2018 including both 2D and 3D modeling capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals.
- Skilled in applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards effectively.
Eligibility
Applicants holding a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply.
