Meat Department Manager

Position Overview

This role involves leading the Meat Associates team and overseeing department processes to deliver exemplary customer service while achieving production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries, properly using equipment, monitoring repairs, and managing documentation including paperwork and logs.
• Keeping the sales floor organized through stocking, rotating goods, removing damaged or expired items, creating and maintaining product displays, and handling pricing and labeling.
• Leading recruitment, hiring, training, and growth of all Meat Associates.
• Setting an example by warmly greeting customers, promoting products and services, assisting with product location, and helping customers make purchasing decisions.
• Managing the Meat Store Within A Store (SWAS) operations including planning, attending meetings, reviewing reports on food products, orders, and sales, and ensuring proper inventory levels by executing merchandising and replenishment strategies.
• Handling claims and returns correctly, securing merchandise, identifying items prone to loss, and maintaining a safe workplace following company policies.
• Maintaining required documentation such as inventory tracking, throwaway records, invoices, and assignment notes.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.50.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
