Manufacturing and Production Trainee

Role Overview

Join Vinuruk Technologies as a Manufacturing and Production Trainee based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This role involves comprehensive involvement in the manufacturing process, from coordinating with vendors for various manufacturing tasks to quality assurance, procurement, assembly, and testing. You will play a vital part in ensuring components and products meet engineering and quality standards and are delivered on schedule.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with manufacturing partners and vendors for machining, fabrication, winding, coating, and similar processes throughout prototype, batch, and volume production stages.
• Monitor work-in-progress components, track production timelines, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Visit vendor sites to address and solve manufacturing, quality, and delivery challenges.
• Ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards in manufactured components.
• Maintain detailed reports on manufacturing status and manage material movement among vendors.

Quality Control

• Conduct dimensional and quality inspections of incoming components, ensuring conformity with engineering specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify defects or deviations, coordinate necessary corrective actions, and keep thorough inspection documentation.
• Authorize only components that meet quality requirements for production use.

Procurement and Purchase Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials and parts essential for production operations.
• Manage supplier quotations, compare offers, negotiate prices, and issue purchase orders.
• Track material deliveries and collaborate with stores and accounting teams.
• Maintain procurement records along with supplier documentation for audit and reference.

Documentation and Coordination

• Keep accurate records related to manufacturing, inspection, procurement, and vendor communication.
• Work collaboratively with departments such as engineering, production, quality assurance, stores, logistics, and suppliers.
• Monitor the progression of components through stages including manufacturing, inspection, assembly, and testing.
• Provide consistent updates regarding manufacturing and project status to management.

Assembly and Testing

• Assemble mechanical parts of motors and associated components for prototypes, batch runs, and volume production.
• Perform functional testing to confirm key performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and aid in prototype validation as well as production builds.
• Document test results, maintain testing equipment, and ensure products meet final inspection and dispatch standards.

Overall Scope

This role covers the end-to-end manufacturing cycle, including vendor coordination, procurement, quality supervision, documentation, assembly, and testing. Close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers is essential to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets efficiently.
