Manager - Techno Commercial

Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing store operations with an emphasis on efficient receipt, inspection, storage, and timely issuance of materials. The incumbent will coordinate closely with procurement, maintenance, and user departments adopting a techno-commercial approach aimed at optimizing inventory levels, ensuring material availability, and facilitating procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all store activities including receipt, verification, preservation, storage, and issuance following company protocols.
• Maintain correct material identification and adequate environmental conditions for storage.
• Accurately record inventory data within SAP/ERP systems and rigorously monitor stock levels, ensuring availability of vital spare parts and consumables.
• Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage inventory movement, analyze consumption trends, and recommend reordering strategies to sustain optimal stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Identify and recommend actions for slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventories.
• Collaborate with procurement teams on material requirements, review technical specifications, and facilitate effective follow-ups with vendors to secure timely delivery of critical supplies.
• Contribute to vendor assessment, material standardization, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Keep accurate store documentation including goods receipt notes, issue slips, and generate inventory reports and MIS documents related to stock status and valuation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, audit standards, and safety norms while supporting internal and external inventory audits.

Technical Skills and Tools

Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and management, post-order handling, supplier management, and vendor development is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related fields.
• 3 to 8 years of relevant work experience in stores management, inventory control, procurement coordination, or material management roles.
