Overview

The Strategy & Operations function partners with senior leaders across Match Group and its portfolio companies to tackle the organization’s most important strategic priorities. The team helps define long-term direction by combining strong analytical thinking, strategic judgment, and practical operational guidance. It connects high-level vision with day-to-day execution so teams stay aligned and progress efficiently toward shared objectives.

In this role, you will serve as an internal strategy advisor to executive leadership and Match Group brands. You will own or support high-impact workstreams that shape strategy and turn insights into concrete action plans. The position requires comfort with data analysis, synthesizing findings into recommendations, and collaborating across teams to bring decisions to life. You will report to the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations and work closely with colleagues in Strategy, Operations, and Consumer Research. Because this is a corporate role supporting a portfolio of brands, you will interact with many senior stakeholders and adapt to different business contexts, working styles, and communication preferences.

Role impact

  • Perform deep competitive intelligence by reviewing market trends, new technologies, and industry shifts, then benchmark brands and highlight insights that support strategic choices.
  • Identify signals that help determine whether the business should buy, build, or partner across the portfolio.
  • Support portfolio strategy by helping allocate resources and guide planning across brands and regions.
  • Spot portfolio-wide opportunities and risks, then turn them into actionable, data-backed recommendations.
  • Build business cases by converting user, market, and financial inputs into clear models, sizing growth opportunities, and outlining implementation paths.
  • Lead or contribute to special strategic projects for corporate and business unit leaders, offering recommendations grounded in data, business context, and operating realities.
  • Prepare materials for executive-level forums such as strategic planning meetings, Board of Directors presentations, and quarterly earnings, while also supporting project management for these programs.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy, preferably in consumer technology.
  • A strong “answer-first” mindset with the ability to focus on the key takeaway and the business implication.
  • Demonstrated analytical strength, including market and competitor analysis, application of strategy frameworks, and building business cases with incomplete information.
  • Experience creating and executing growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to align stakeholders across functional, business, and technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills with experience developing concise, executive-ready materials for senior leadership.
  • Excellent organization, initiative, and comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Proficiency in Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Solid Excel modeling skills, including intermediate formulas such as INDEX/MATCH and XLOOKUP, plus pivot tables and charts.
  • Experience writing clear and well-structured executive memos.

Work model

The team works in person three days per week.

Benefits

  • Medical, mental health, and wellness coverage to support overall well-being.
  • Competitive pay, plus a 100% employer match on 401(k) contributions up to 10% of pay, capped at $10,000.
  • Employee stock purchase program for additional financial support.
  • Generous paid time off and 14 paid holidays.
  • Annual learning and development allowance, along with ERG membership opportunities and events.
  • 20 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
  • Fertility, adoption, and child care support resources.
  • Pet insurance and related discounts.
  • Company events designed to build connection and belonging.
