About the Role

Join Compass Group Canada's ESFM division, the corporate Integrated Facilities Management sector serving diverse industries including Telecommunications, Entertainment, Pharmaceuticals, Gas & Oil, Food Processing, and Automotive. ESFM manages 80% of its IFM services directly, ensuring consistent hospitality experiences and enhanced employee engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks throughout the facility such as changing light bulbs, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, drywall repairs, and tile fixes.
  • Repair and install interior walls, including drywall replacements.
  • Inspect the facility and related structures regularly to identify malfunctions and maintain furniture.
  • Handle ad hoc repair jobs including window and door fixes, mounting curtain poles, tracks, and shelving fixtures.
  • Perform additional assigned duties including custodial and administrative tasks.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities such as mechanical rounds, equipment testing, and annual facility inspections.
  • Assist with room setups and furniture rearrangements as needed.
  • Update and service work orders and online maintenance tickets.
  • Perform cleaning, restock supplies and dispensers, sanitize facility areas, and support general building upkeep.
  • Provide coverage for front desk reception and manage parcels/mail duties when required.

Qualification Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks including heavy lifting and extensive walking.
  • Proficiency in using manual and electric hand tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • High attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge or training in equipment safety, site safety protocols, fire prevention, and related regulations.
  • Computer literacy for communication, work coordination, and ticket management.

Compensation and Legal Compliance

This role offers hourly pay ranging from $25 to $35, determined by candidates’ skills, experience, and qualifications. Compliance with pay transparency legislation is ensured. Use of AI tools may be part of the recruitment process. Canadian work experience is not mandatory.
