Overview
Join Tesco as a Maintenance Technician serving stores across Newbury, Andover, Salisbury, and nearby areas. Your essential role will maintain a safe and efficient shopping environment for customers and staff by performing both planned and reactive maintenance on various systems and equipment. Your technical skills will help quickly identify and resolve faults, always emphasizing safety, compliance, and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate effectively with external contractors to ensure smooth repair processes.
- Work cohesively with colleagues to uphold excellent service standards.
- Manage multiple tasks energetically while maintaining high efficiency.
- Support store management by maintaining equipment and facility functionality.
- Minimize disruption to customers during repair activities.
- Follow scheduled maintenance to achieve first-time fixes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Perform routine maintenance on store property and facilities.
- Utilize mobile technology such as phones and tablets to manage work schedules and provide updates.
- Act as a Tesco ambassador by demonstrating core company values and maintaining a professional attitude and uniform appearance.
- Participate in local and national team meetings, offering constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous maintenance, engineering, or construction experience is required.
- ONC qualification or an equivalent certification.
- Valid full driving license.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to health & safety regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as tablets for daily work management and emails.
- Completion of all technical training modules relevant to job responsibilities.
