Role overview

Boeing is seeking a permanent Logistics Support Specialist to join its Brisbane team. The position sits within the Engineering / Technical category and supports Insitu Pacific, which provides uncrewed aerial system services across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The role focuses on logistics support analysis for the company’s family of systems UAS product line and related variants.

About the business

Insitu Pacific has been supporting defence, commercial and civil customers since 2009 through local flight testing, training, strong supplier relationships and a commitment to Australia’s sovereign capability. The organisation works to build a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment with room for professional growth.

What you will do

This role is responsible for supporting the development and upkeep of logistics support analysis outputs, databases and related documentation. It involves working with engineering, MRO and other technical stakeholders while ensuring compliance with customer expectations and industry standards.

  • Prepare and refresh LSA data and product documentation for the core product line and for specific projects or customers in line with quality management processes and customer needs.
  • Revise LSA records and documents when reviews, source data, equipment changes or customer improvement requests identify updates, and work through gaps or inconsistencies with the relevant originators.
  • Assist with customer verification reviews and implement corrective actions arising from the outcomes.
  • Help estimate and plan changes to LSA products and services.
  • Track progress against project plans and budgets, coordinate actions to support delivery, and participate in customer technical and program reviews while resolving discrepancies and initiating follow-up actions.

Experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV, or a similar qualification, in a product support-related area, along with around 9 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of technical education and work history.

  • Strong ability to examine aerospace systems and technical information and turn that into accurate, compliant LSA outputs.
  • Hands-on experience defining, setting up and using product support and lifecycle analysis business systems.
  • Capability to gather, organise, interpret and analyse data, then convert findings into conclusions and recommendations.
  • Advanced ability to manage digital files, including archiving and retrieval, and to produce reports and presentation materials for assigned work.
  • Working knowledge of research methods, search tools and relevant external resources used to collect information.

Desirable experience

  • Understanding of aerospace maintenance concepts, including supply, procurement and support systems.
  • Familiarity with UAS hardware and systems such as navigation, sensors, propulsion and C2 data links.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and data management principles.
  • Exposure to Commonwealth Department of Defence logistics requirements.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to Australian citizens only, as required for defence security purposes. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. A Foreign Work Authorisation may also be required under Department of Defence rules issued in 2024.

Benefits

  • Support for further study, including assistance and education options.
  • Salary packaging and career development support.
  • Wellbeing benefits such as annual flu vaccinations and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
  • Discounts on health insurance, travel and accommodation.
  • Paid study leave, paid parental leave and Defence Reservist leave.
  • A formal rewards and recognition program.

Equal opportunity

The employer maintains an equal opportunity hiring process and does not tolerate unlawful discrimination on protected grounds. Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply, and recruitment accommodations can be arranged, including accessible interview locations, use of assistive technology and flexible interview formats.
