About the role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Lifeguard to help create a safe and welcoming pool environment for guests and members. Based in Doha at the Business Park properties, this position sits within a global hospitality group that values warmth, honesty, personal growth, and inclusive teamwork. The hotels are conveniently placed near major business landmarks and Doha Hamad International Airport, with easy access by car or shuttle.

Key responsibilities

• Watch over swimmers closely and take action to keep them safe at all times.
• Make sure guests feel secure and comfortable in and around the pool area.
• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for the pool and related facilities during the shift.
• Encourage and enforce safe swimming behavior, along with pool rules and regulations.
• Respond according to emergency procedures and action plans whenever needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience working as a lifeguard.
• A valid pool lifeguard certification.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.
• Strong people skills and a calm, helpful approach.
• Excellent focus on detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to remain professional under pressure and manage stressful situations effectively.
