Life Skills Coach

Role overview

Spread Your Wings, LLC. – ILS Services is looking for a part-time Independent Living Life Skills Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in building confidence, independence, and practical daily living abilities. This position is based in the Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, and Petaluma areas, with day-shift hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Compensation and benefits

• Hourly pay of $22.
• Full-time employees become eligible for benefits within 30 days.

What you will do

• Teach and reinforce independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
• Support and encourage individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with behavioral challenges.
• Help clients set up weekly goals and routines that fit their needs.
• Maintain progress records through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Spend most of your work time in the field with clients, with a smaller portion devoted to administrative documentation.
• Work closely with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to travel and work throughout the Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, and Petaluma areas.
• Must be able to pass a background check in line with state industry standards.
• Basic computer literacy, including MS Word, email, and simple data entry.
