Windsor Forest Colleges Group is hiring a Lecturer in English for Berkshire College of Agriculture. This is a permanent, part-time position with an 0.8 workload.

The actual pay for this post is £25,306.40 at T1 rising to £36,272.80 at T11, with the full-time equivalent scale set at £31,633 to £45,341. The expected start date is Wednesday 19 August 2026.

What the role involves

You will teach English to post-16 learners at the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus, supporting students to develop the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills needed for GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications.

The position involves designing and delivering lessons that engage learners with different starting points and prior experiences. You will work alongside Learning Support Assistants so that teaching is adapted to suit individual needs and helps every learner participate and progress.

Assessment will be a key part of the job, helping you identify knowledge gaps, track progress and support improvement over time. You will also contribute to improving attendance and strengthening learners’ confidence in English.
