Position Overview

CURA Unternehmensgruppe is hiring a cook for its Senior Centre in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein. The role is available in full-time or part-time and can start as soon as possible. The facility is located in 25813 Husum on the North Sea, right by the Husumer Mühlenau, and cares for 67 residents across two living areas.

The setting includes services such as short-term care, holiday care, respite care, dementia care, palliative room support, trial living, and nursing advice. The centre also features an in-house kitchen, a sun terrace, a small lounge area, and a garden.

Key Duties

• Prepare balanced, varied meals that meet residents’ specific dietary needs, including special diets, allergies, and age-appropriate nutrition, while coordinating with other departments.
• Create weekly menu plans that take seasonal and regional ingredients as well as residents’ preferences into account.
• Maintain kitchen and storage hygiene in line with legal standards and HACCP requirements.
• Order and receive food supplies, check deliveries for freshness and quality, and store ingredients properly.
• Support kitchen assistants, guide them when needed, and work closely with the wider team to maintain a consistently high food standard.

Profile and Requirements

• Completed training as a chef/cook.
• Relevant professional experience, ideally in catering for groups or institutions.
• Confident use of common MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills, personal commitment, reliability, and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.
• Ability to collaborate smoothly with all areas of the facility in a team-oriented way.
