As Crown's European presence grows, they seek a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a major site project in Frankfurt, Germany. This role offers an excellent chance for recent graduates or professionals with some construction background to advance a career in quantity surveying, working alongside seasoned experts on significant international assignments.

This position requires rotational onsite presence, so candidates must be willing to work away from home on a rotational schedule. Flights and accommodations are covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tenders and pricing documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and compile Bills of Quantities.
• Support interim valuations, handle variations, and finalize accounts.
• Help with procurement processes and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow.
• Maintain precise commercial records and site documentation.
• Aid subcontractor management and manage payment applications.
• Contribute to value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers, and onsite teams.
• Take site measurements and oversee progress evaluations.
• Ensure timely and accurate upkeep of contractual documentation.
• Support comprehensive commercial delivery from project inception to completion.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Crown is seeking a highly motivated individual eager to build a long-term career in quantity surveying, with these qualifications and skills:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational talents.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Valid full driving license.
• Preparedness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt, Germany.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in roofing, cladding, façade, or building envelope projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or other commercial software applications.
