Role Overview

They are hiring a Junior Trader based in Singapore to manage night shifts and weekends, supporting continuous 24/7 trading coverage in international markets. This position is integral to ensuring smooth operation and oversight of high-frequency trading (HFT) strategies around the clock. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience in HFT and a strong passion for markets and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor real-time trading platforms during night shifts to guarantee peak performance and reduce downtime.
• Implement and supervise high-frequency trading strategies aligned with market trends and company goals.
• Work closely with trading, engineering, and operations teams to improve system stability and efficiency.
• Analyze market data and trading results to uncover optimization opportunities.
• Maintain comprehensive records of trading operations and incidents, complying with company policies and regulations.
• Promptly escalate urgent issues to senior traders or technical teams for timely resolution.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in high-frequency trading environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets, trading infrastructure, and HFT strategy mechanics.
• Familiarity with trading applications; experience in Linux/Unix systems is advantageous.
• Capacity to work effectively under high stress, especially during night shifts.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities suited for collaboration with varied teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related areas.
• Bonus: Skills in programming or scripting languages like Python, Rust, or SQL.
• Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to continuous trading schedules.
