Junior Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering company based in Coventry, West Midlands. Key Responsibilities

• Design bespoke machinery using 3D CAD software.
• Support projects from initial concept through to completion and installation.
• Assist with project engineering and managing project delivery processes.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide technical assistance during all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering documentation and help with design review meetings.
• Assist with machinery installation, commissioning, and customer handover procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience as a Junior Design Engineer, Graduate Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or equivalent role.
• Experience in designing bespoke machinery, special purpose equipment, or mechanical products obtained through industry work, placements, or apprenticeships.
• Proficient with 3D CAD design software.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward learning.
• Possession of a Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant industrial experience.
