About the Role
Based in London within the Data & BI team, this role reports to the Senior Data Analyst and represents an exciting entry point for individuals beginning their analytics careers. The position involves close collaboration with experienced analysts and engineers, transforming data into actionable reports, dashboards, and insights to assist diverse business functions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, upkeep, and enhancement of reports, dashboards, and visualizations using software such as Domo.
- Provide support for regular and bespoke reporting tasks, ensuring stakeholders have access to necessary data.
- Engage with Data & BI colleagues and business stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs.
- Create and modify SQL queries to fetch, validate, and analyze information from the company’s data warehouse.
- Investigate and address data inconsistencies to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Perform data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to explore business questions and translate data into insightful conclusions.
- Document reporting workflows and help uphold standards in reporting processes.
Requirements
- Between 0 and 2 years of experience in data, analytics, or reporting roles, including internships, university projects, or relevant self-directed learning.
- Competency in Excel, including handling data sets, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Meticulous attention to detail committed to producing precise work.
- Effective communication abilities, capable of simplifying data and technical ideas for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage workloads efficiently.
- Fast learner with adaptability to new tools, techniques, and work methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, or data warehousing technologies.
- Experience with visualization or reporting platforms such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Exposure to cloud data environments.
- Interest or prior experience in the hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
