Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Berlin. This role involves hands-on management of daily bookkeeping for our fund management entities, presenting an excellent opportunity to gain experience in venture capital finance. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, eager to learn, and ready to develop professionally within the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently managing the booking of business transactions
• Preparing and handling outgoing invoices
• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements
• Cooperating closely with external tax consultants and auditors
• Supporting ongoing enhancements of finance processes and tools

Candidate Profile

• Initial accounting experience from internships, student work, apprenticeships, or relevant academic background
• Basic knowledge of DATEV software is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential
• Demonstrates a structured and meticulous approach to work
• Proactive and dependable: responsible in task completion, early identification of issues, and ownership
• Receptive to digital tools and process optimization
• Fluent in German and English at C1 level
