Overview
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Finance Department at our Jeddah office in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining precise financial records, facilitating accounting entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role demands attention to detail, a proactive attitude towards learning, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Document daily financial transactions and create journal entries to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist during the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate accounting records along with all supporting documentation.
Qualification & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Experience ranging from 0 to 2 years in accounting or finance functions.
- Membership in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) is compulsory.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with good to excellent command.
- Familiarity with ERP software like Oracle or equivalents is considered an advantage.
