About the Role
Progress Housing Group seeks a dedicated IT Systems Support Officer (also known internally as Business Systems Support Officer Level 2) to join the Digital Services team in Leyland. This fixed-term position spans 12 months, offering a salary between 37,364 and 38,684 annually, for a 36.25-hour workweek. Initial office presence is required, transitioning to approximately two days per month onsite thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver second-line support for essential business applications to ensure smooth and secure system operations.
- Manage user permissions and troubleshoot reported issues, collaborating closely with software vendors and colleagues.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, and change management initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities and overseeing effective implementation.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to staff to enhance their use of business systems.
- Work collaboratively across departments to advance continuous digital service enhancements.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience administering and supporting business systems within a professional setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, fostering positive working relationships internally and externally.
- Capability to diagnose and resolve system-related issues while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and user support for business applications.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Familiarity with housing management, repairs, asset management, or document management systems.
- Experience participating in system testing, upgrades, or project implementations.
- Knowledge of SQL and project or program environments.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience.
