Job description

Overview

Mott MacDonald, a global engineering and management consultancy, is seeking an IT Site Support Coordinator in Auckland to play a critical role in supporting workplace technology. This role involves hands-on assistance to ensure all technological tools are reliable and accessible, contributing to the smooth delivery of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site support for laptops, peripherals, and other end-user technology devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues; liaise with Group IT to manage incidents and service requests.
  • Maintain meeting room technologies including video conferencing equipment and assist during large events like town halls.
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy new laptops and associated hardware.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes with necessary IT setup and exit procedures.
  • Keep detailed IT asset and equipment inventories up to date.
  • Monitor office technology performance, including printers and workplace devices, ensuring ongoing functionality.
  • Coordinate technology maintenance and vendor visits as required.
  • Perform regular workplace technology and security audits.
  • Build strong relationships with users, delivering prompt, customer-focused technical support.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in IT support, desktop environments, or related workplace technology support.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service communication.
  • Independent worker who collaborates effectively with larger IT teams.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, peripherals, and printers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other video conferencing platforms.
