Role Summary

The Industrial Electrician (442A) will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and tools vital for construction and fabrication activities. This role requires a strong commitment to operational safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct testing, diagnosis, repair, and calibration of welding machinery.
• Perform upkeep and repairs on shop fabrication equipment as needed.
• Maintain and service 2-stroke engines and other powered tools.
• Inspect, repair, and certify rigging supplies including chain falls and pullers.
• Repair machinery for threading and bending applications.
• Troubleshoot and fix power tools as required.
• Travel to various job sites or shops to conduct necessary equipment repairs.

Candidate Requirements and Skills

• Hold a valid 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate with Red Seal endorsement.
• Additional certification in equipment repair such as rigging inspection is advantageous.
• Experience with construction tools, materials, and trade norms preferred.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating welding and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and equipment installation.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
• Forklift operation experience or certification is mandatory.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.

ESFL is a Canadian multi-trade fabricator and constructor providing broad solutions spanning Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, and Power Generation markets. Based in Niagara Falls, ON, ESFL is recognized for workmanship excellence, operational flexibility, and timely project execution. Compensation for this role ranges from $62,400 to $93,600, with the final offer depending on qualifications and experience. Canadian work experience is not a prerequisite.
