About the Company
We are seeking a meticulous HR Specialist / Recruiter with comprehensive knowledge of UK employment legislation to oversee end-to-end recruitment, manage the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and terminations, and ensure HR compliance across our retail stores in London. The position involves regular visits to store locations and close collaboration with store managers to drive operational success and promote employee engagement.
About the Role
This position requires managing the entire recruitment cycle, maintaining adherence to employment laws, and cultivating a positive workplace experience for employees.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checking, and negotiating job offers.
- Support high-volume hiring campaigns using diverse sourcing methods.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes in line with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and data privacy laws.
- Coordinate training initiatives, monitor compliance certifications, and identify employee development opportunities.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters, addressing workplace concerns and clarifying policy inquiries.
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, generate reports, and assist with process improvements.
- Ensure all HR procedures comply strictly with UK labor regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Between one and three years or more of HR experience within a retail environment, preferably involving high-volume recruitment.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, coupled with strong communication capabilities.
- Knowledgeable about the Employment Standards Act, UK Human Rights Act, and other relevant employment legislation.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Highly detail-oriented with robust organizational skills.
- Superior communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Well-versed in UK employment law and HR best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing high-volume recruitment efforts.
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
