Role Overview
The HR Generalist will partner with the HR team to deliver strong service to candidates, employees, and managers. The position supports a defined part of the business and handles core HR activities such as employment offers, onboarding, employee relations, policy and procedure administration, leaves of absence, terminations, and related processing in the HRIS system.
The role also includes coordination with recruiting on hiring and job changes, regular touchpoints with managers about staffing and employee concerns, exit interviews, and other employee relations work. If the candidate shows strength and interest in HRIS and benefits, there may be training to support the HR Manager with HRIS oversight and troubleshooting, benefits and performance management system support, invoice processing, reporting, and related tasks.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related discipline, plus 3 to 5 years of relevant experience focused on hiring, onboarding, and HRIS; or an equivalent mix of education and experience that can meet the job’s core responsibilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with HRIS platforms; UKG knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior exposure to internal investigations, corrective action processes, and discharge matters is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to support employees and managers across multiple states or locations in a virtual environment using phone, email, and online meetings.
- Excellent customer service abilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-moving, deadline-driven setting.
- A mindset focused on improving processes and increasing efficiency.
- Ability to build productive relationships with coworkers, leaders, and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong self-management skills with careful attention to detail, timelines, and reporting accuracy.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Flexibility to step in wherever needed to help colleagues and support the organization.
Compensation and Benefits
The role is associated with a competitive salary and includes opportunities for career growth. The benefits package mentioned includes medical coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) plan, and supplemental insurance.
