About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and proactive Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join a growing HR team and collaborate directly with business leaders to boost organizational efficiency. This position focuses on driving change management, aligning people strategies with company objectives, and building trusted relationships at various organizational levels. This role reports to a Senior Manager and then the VP of HR based in Houston and is located onsite in Arlington, VA. Candidates must have a corporate background rather than government experience, demonstrate significant tenure and expertise, and be willing to work on site daily.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on recruiting, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Utilize people analytics and human resources metrics to identify trends, deliver insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and advise managers on complex HR issues per legal requirements and company policies.
- Assist in designing and implementing succession planning, talent development, and retention initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership on change management and employee engagement strategies.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while staying informed about HR best practices.
- Coordinate efforts with HRIS, Total Rewards, and Recruiting teams to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Five to seven or more years of advancing HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience supporting varied client groups.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging data and HR metrics to influence strategic business decisions.
- Comprehensive understanding of employment law, compliance frameworks, and HR policy formulation.
- Excellent relationship building, coaching, and communication capabilities.
- Experience managing employee relations and guiding performance improvement efforts.
- Proficiency in Workday is highly preferred.
