About the Role

Join a prestigious 20-room, adults-only, 5-star hotel in Zanzibar, Tanzania, as a Housekeeping Supervisor responsible for upholding exceptional cleanliness and luxury standards. This role combines hands-on execution with leadership in a streamlined, efficient team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of all 20 guest rooms before arrivals, ensuring a flawless, zero-defect standard every time.
• Lead daily team briefings and delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks among housekeeping staff.
• Provide training and ongoing coaching to team members on luxury standard operating procedures and guest privacy policies.
• Oversee inventory management of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, focusing on waste reduction and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Food & Beverage departments to manage room turnaround timings and special guest arrangements.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously to ensure high satisfaction.
• Report maintenance issues immediately and follow up to guarantee resolution.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in housekeeping within a 4- or 5-star hotel or luxury boutique setting.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to spot issues others might miss.
• Composed and efficient under pressure with excellent time management skills.
• Professional demeanor interacting with guests and basic proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Swahili and/or experience working in East Africa is highly valued.
