Hotel Director - Luxury Cruise Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Hotel Director to take command of all hotel operations aboard a luxury cruise ship. This senior leadership role involves ensuring unparalleled guest experiences, optimizing operational performance, managing financial outcomes, and fostering team growth. The successful candidate will oversee diverse departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Entertainment, Finance, IT, Cruise Sales, and other revenue streams. Collaboration with the Captain and senior leadership is essential to maintain top-tier service quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all onboard hotel functions.
• Guarantee superior guest satisfaction through high-quality service and swift resolution of issues.
• Steer departmental achievements aligned with operational and financial goals.
• Oversee budgeting, revenue management, expenses, and inventory control.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
• Guide and inspire department leaders while nurturing a positive team environment.
• Spot and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and boost onboard income.
• Maintain corporate standards across all guest interaction points.
• Coordinate with senior ship officers to facilitate seamless daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least five years in a senior leadership capacity within luxury hotels, cruise lines, or large-scale hotels (1000+ rooms).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, decisive thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience handling large and culturally diverse teams.
• Strong business insight with expertise in budgeting, operational management, and strategic planning.
• Comprehensive understanding of guest service excellence and hospitality benchmarks.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
