Role Overview
We seek a distinguished Head of Security to spearhead the strategic vision, operational management, and ongoing development of security measures across our around-the-clock precinct. This pivotal role ensures safety, resilience, and preserves the reputation of one of New Zealand’s most intricate and vibrant venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a forward-thinking security strategy that integrates with business goals and enterprise risk policies.
- Command security operations spanning gaming areas, hospitality entities, hotels, Sky Tower, and NZICC.
- Enhance security through data-driven insights, technological advancements, and continuous innovation.
- Lead and coordinate executive responses during critical and emergency events.
- Cultivate collaborative partnerships with Police, emergency services, governmental bodies, regulators, and industry counterparts.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to all gaming, licensing, security, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough investigations into sensitive and complex security matters.
- Foster an inclusive, high-achieving security culture prioritizing safety and employee wellbeing.
- Support major events, including VIP and international delegations, through meticulous security planning and execution.
Candidate Profile
- Seasoned security leader with 5 to over 10 years managing sizable security teams in complex, multi-location, or heavily regulated settings.
- Proven proficiency in crafting and executing comprehensive security strategies and operational structures.
- Extensive background in investigations, emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity.
- Deep understanding of contemporary security technologies, systems, and risk mitigation approaches.
- Demonstrated skill in nurturing trust and partnerships across executive leadership, regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and external agencies.
- Familiarity with gaming-related regulations and compliance is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional leadership qualities paired with a history of developing diverse and effective teams.
- Must hold or be capable of obtaining and maintaining a current Certificate of Approval (COA).
