Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO for a prominent UK-based company headquartered in Northamptonshire. This permanent position offers a competitive package of up to £140,000 annually, including bonuses and benefits. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
About the Employer
The client is a well-established large UK organisation with a nationwide presence and strong market standing. The company is currently undertaking significant transformation and change initiatives and is expanding its senior PMO leadership team to effectively oversee a growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensively managing the PMO function from governance frameworks through to delivery execution.
- Developing and implementing PMO strategy, standards, and methodologies across the change portfolio.
- Driving prioritization, resource allocation, and investment decisions within a complex and multifaceted portfolio.
- Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment of change initiatives with strategic goals.
- Recruiting, leading, and nurturing a high-performing PMO team.
- Enhancing the maturity and strategic value of the PMO function beyond reporting to become a critical organizational asset.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership in managing a PMO function encompassing both governance and delivery aspects.
- Proven success in handling large-scale, complex change portfolios within matrix organizational structures.
- Strong presence and credibility to influence decision-making at executive and board levels.
- Experience developing and scaling PMO capabilities and standards from inception.
- Adept at balancing strategic oversight with active delivery responsibilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills engaging IT, business units, and executive audiences.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as MSP, MoP or equivalent in portfolio and PMO management.
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
