Role Overview
As a Guest Service Agent in the Front Office, you will be responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and crafting memorable guest experiences. Reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager on duty, you'll thrive within a creative, supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary service by promptly and courteously attending to guests’ needs during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
- Ensure accurate and timely management of guest and hotel accounts, overseeing charges and postings.
- Uphold strict security measures related to credit and cash transactions, room key issuance, and safeguarding guest privacy.
- Maintain effective communication between guests and hotel departments both verbally and in writing.
- Manage switchboard operations and guest messaging with professionalism and expediency.
- Assist in handling reservation sales calls and promote hotel facilities to enhance sales using thorough product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous background in Guest Services, Royal Service, or a comparable coordinating role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Highly organized, energetic, and capable of performing well under pressure.
- Strong decision-making, relationship management, organizational, and planning abilities.
- Ability to multi-task effectively while handling responsibilities accurately.
- Physically able to lift and move luggage.
- Cash handling skills with high accuracy and reliability.
- Flexibility in working hours is required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
- Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Additional Points
- Must possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
