About the Company
House of Colour is a global personal styling franchise and the leading one of its kind worldwide. Established in London in 1985, the business remains founder-led and has spent more than four decades helping people feel confident through colour analysis, style analysis, cosmetics, and related services.
About the Role
The company is looking for a Graphic Designer for the Global Brand team to help shape and maintain a strong visual identity across international markets. As the brand continues to expand in the UK, the US, and Canada, this position will play an important part in producing consistent, scalable, and high-quality design work that supports both brand strategy and fast-moving day-to-day needs.
This is a hands-on role that combines creative thinking with practical delivery. You will work across many business areas and support multiple markets, often managing several projects at once and delivering to tight deadlines. The role is expected to begin as the only in-house design resource within the Global Brand team, though that may change as the organisation grows.
Reporting Structure
You will report to the Global Brand Director and collaborate with teams across Sales, Operations, Technology, Education, Intellectual Property, Finance, Franchise Recruitment, Supply, Training, and Franchise Relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Global Brand Director to shape and maintain the global brand guidelines.
- Produce polished design assets for a wide range of channels, including campaigns, social media, email, websites, presentations, printed collateral, cosmetics packaging, and other brand materials.
- Protect the integrity of the brand’s visual identity by keeping all outputs aligned with approved guidelines.
- Promote the value of a consistent design language across a growing international brand.
- Deliver design work efficiently across both global and local markets while managing several concurrent projects.
- Build a clear and efficient briefing process that helps stakeholders provide usable inputs and receive strong outputs.
- Interpret creative briefs with original thinking while staying within brand rules.
- Create and maintain templates, toolkits, and reusable design systems that support consistency at scale.
- Convert brand strategy into compelling visual communications that improve clarity and recognition.
- Support business initiatives by partnering with internal teams across multiple functions.
- Look for ways to improve the quality, speed, and scalability of design delivery across the organisation.
- Adapt creative output for different audiences, including internal teams, franchisees, customers, and prospective franchise owners.
- Develop motion graphics and short-form video content when needed.
Required Experience and Skills
- 5–7+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in an in-house or brand-led setting.
- A strong portfolio showing high-quality work across print, digital, and campaign design.
- Experience contributing to brand guidelines and visual identity systems.
- Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Solid knowledge of typography, layout, vector design, and visual communication.
- Strong ability to turn strategic direction into clear and effective creative outputs.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
- Comfort working quickly in an environment that may feel like a start-up or scale-up.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with clear ownership of tasks and follow-through.
- Flexibility to work on fast-changing projects that may shift direction as business needs evolve.
- Confidence working through uncertainty to uncover the information needed to deliver strong results.
- Photo editing experience, including precise colour correction for product packaging and makeup formulation.
Preferred Experience
- Background in franchise or direct sales businesses.
- Experience in style, fashion, consumer services, or beauty.
- Familiarity with Canva and similar tools alongside Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience using AI to improve creative workflows.
- Knowledge of cosmetic packaging labelling regulations.
- Working knowledge of motion or video tools such as After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Eligibility
Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in their country of residence. The company cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
Equal Opportunity Commitment
House of Colour welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and identities and aims to maintain a workplace that supports inclusion, creativity, effectiveness, and belonging.
