Graduate Trainee - Information System

Work Context and Environment

Primary Duties

• Install and set up computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Oversee and maintain computer systems, power backup units, and network infrastructure.
• Guide staff through troubleshooting steps either directly or via phone to establish or fix system issues.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, replace faulty hardware parts, or coordinate with suppliers for prompt solutions.
• Provide assistance including creation of procedural documents and relevant reporting.
• Follow instructions and technical diagrams for system repairs or setups.
• Support deployment of new systems and applications both from local initiatives and directives from the Total Group.
• Manage user accounts, profiles, and resolve password-related concerns.
• Respond promptly to support requests, ensuring efficient resolution within reasonable timeframes or proper escalation and follow-up.
• Prioritize and handle multiple open support cases simultaneously.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with customers, software developers, and suppliers, supervising onsite supplier activities.
• Ensure timely processing and approval of all supplier invoices and follow up accordingly.
• Train users on new technologies and application usage.
• Research and resolve system issues or business challenges requiring technological solutions.
• Adhere to established escalation processes for unresolved technical issues by involving appropriate internal teams.
• Implement IT policies based on company standards and documentation.
• Conduct regular inventory checks for all hardware and software, keeping records current.
• Create and track service support tickets with the Paris Head Office support team, ensuring issues are fully resolved.
• Document problems and their solutions thoroughly.
• Maintain technical manuals and service catalogs related to software installation, hardware configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor supplier adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or department heads.
• Commit to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards by following TotalEnergies' golden and HSE rules for all personnel and contractors.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of computer software and hardware components.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies.
• Robust technical knowledge with the capacity to resolve accessibility and compatibility challenges.
