About the Role

FlightGlobal, which sits within ProMedia, operates in a fast-paced, international setting where quality, personal ownership, and initiative are highly valued. With more than 117 years of aviation expertise, the business connects the global aviation sector through reliable insight, data, and events. It is subscription-led, commercially ambitious, and editorially independent, and it is now looking for the next wave of aviation journalists.

The London editorial team is hiring three motivated and intellectually curious graduate journalists. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to begin a career reporting on one of the world’s most influential and fast-changing industries. You will work with experienced editors and reporters on breaking news, long-form features, and analytical coverage used by senior leaders across aviation and aerospace.

You will also be exposed to major international air shows, industry conferences, financial results announcements, and interviews with senior figures.

Key Duties

  • Investigate, draft, and publish accurate news stories for FlightGlobal.com in a timely manner.
  • Assist with feature writing and analytical content for Flight International and other editorial channels.
  • Track developments across airlines, defence, and aerospace, including financial and regulatory changes.
  • Interview executives, analysts, and other industry participants.
  • Support live reporting from global events and air shows.
  • Pitch ideas for newsletters, podcasts, and digital-first content.
  • Maintain strong editorial standards for fairness, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Manage social media coverage for the assigned vertical.

Candidate Profile

The employer is looking for a recent graduate in journalism, media, politics, business, aerospace, or a closely related subject. Strong written English, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in aviation, aerospace, defence, or business journalism are essential. The role also requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a busy newsroom.

You should bring solid research ability, comfort working with data and financial information, and the confidence to ask thoughtful questions. A cooperative attitude and willingness to learn are also important. Prior internship experience or published work would be an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
