Generator Electrical Technician – Repair & Maintenance

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Generator Electrical Technician to become a key member of our team in Qatar. The right candidate must possess extensive expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel generator units, including their controllers and synchronization panel mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve electrical and control defects in various generator models.
• Expertise working with generator controllers such as Deepsea Controllers, ComAp Controllers, and other similar systems.
• Carry out programming, configuration, and commissioning services for new generator controllers.
• Possess solid knowledge of synchronization panels addressing wiring, configuration, as well as testing and commissioning processes.
• Ensure integration of generator control systems with fire alarm panels to meet Civil Defense standards.
• Assist during Civil Defense inspections involving generator setups.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities including oil and filter changes, monthly checkups, and basic servicing tasks.

Requirements

• At least five years of hands-on experience in generator repair and upkeep.
• In-depth understanding of generator control systems, synchronization techniques, and fault troubleshooting.
• Preference for candidates holding a valid Qatar Driving License.
• Applicants currently residing in Qatar have advantage.
• Must possess a valid NOC or transferable visa status.
