General Assistant (Cleaning Team)

In this role, you will help keep the gym spotless and hygienic across the facility. Your work will contribute to a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for members.

This position is for 20 hours per week and suits someone who notices the details, can be relied on, and wants to make a real difference to the member experience.

What you will do

• Clean gym floors, exercise equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and shared areas to a high standard.
• Use sanitising and disinfecting methods to maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
• Clear waste bins, fit new liners, and follow the correct waste disposal process.
• Keep an eye on cleaning materials, restock when needed, and inform management when supplies run low.
• Work closely with the wider gym team to support a smooth experience for members.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues as soon as they are spotted.
• Consistently maintain the cleanliness and safety standards expected by Everlast Gyms.

What we are looking for

• Cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred, though it is not required because full training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work without close supervision.
• Some understanding of cleaning methods, sanitation, and safe chemical use is helpful, with training available where needed.
• Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends according to gym opening hours.
