Job Overview
This role entails supporting investment operations, financial reporting, and fund administration to guarantee precise execution, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency. The candidate will also focus on enhancing processes, managing relationships across functions, and developing the team's capabilities to meet the division's financial and strategic targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute investment transactions including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, transfers, and corporate actions.
- Carry out reconciliations of transactions, valuations, and investment returns with investment managers, custodian banks, and sub-fund administrators, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Review and verify NAV documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness of financial data, and manage escalation of issues before final approval.
- Ensure VAT claims are properly prepared, compliant with regulations, supported by documentation, and optimized while mitigating regulatory risks.
- Support internal and external audit processes by reviewing fund financial reports and coordinating auditor inquiries.
- Prepare administrative paperwork including proposals and agreement assessments within required timelines.
- Maintain organized internal document archives for each investment manager encompassing legal, compliance, operational, marketing, and financial materials.
- Review terms and conditions and associated documents during investment setup to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Generate regular reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting the team and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Enhance workflows by documenting and implementing automation and process improvements.
- Develop and refine the team's operational framework and lead initiatives to boost operational readiness.
- Assess, provide training, and mentor team members, offering guidance when necessary.
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration to maintain consistent process implementation.
- Manage relationships with various division stakeholders and define service level agreements with other departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required; an MBA in Finance or relevant professional finance certifications are preferred.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, or a related role within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial and investment sectors.
- Proven analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and efficient time management.
