Position Overview
Launch Industries is searching for a diligent and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper and Small Business Financial Consultant. This role entails overseeing the financial well-being of clients, including small businesses and nonprofits, through comprehensive bookkeeping, financial consulting, and client education, sustaining the organization’s focus on joyful and sustainable workplaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, payroll, and month-end close.
- Develop and evaluate detailed financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other analyses.
- Educate clients continuously on financial reports and best practices to empower their financial decisions.
- Maintain compliance by keeping financial records aligned with relevant federal, state, and local laws and advising management accordingly.
- Collaborate with tax professionals for client tax planning and preparation support.
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks Online and Xero for accurate record-keeping.
- Provide financial modeling assistance including pro formas, profit and loss forecasting, and cash flow projections.
- Build and sustain strong, personalized client relationships by understanding unique client needs and offering tailored financial advice.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in bookkeeping with direct experience in client-oriented finance management.
- Prior work with small to medium businesses, nonprofits, or membership organizations.
- Strong skills in financial project management and detailed financial data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a closely related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Gusto Advisor, or Certified Bookkeeper are highly regarded.
- Well-versed in accounting regulations, GAAP principles, and finance law.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling.
Work Environment and Schedule
The position is full-time with flexible hours tailored to accommodate diverse lifestyles and client demands. Remote work is supported, with optional onsite presence in Seattle for those local. Eligible candidates must reside in Washington, California, or Idaho.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay is $35 per hour specializing in bookkeeping duties.
- Additional commission opportunities for Enrolled Agents or Accredited Tax Preparers handling small business tax returns.
- Pre-tax monthly reimbursement up to $300 for individual health insurance under ICHRA.
