Freight Handler / Driver

About the Role

Join our team at Team Global Express in Invercargill as a Freight Handler and experience a dynamic, varied role that combines driving and freight handling within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We provide comprehensive freight forwarding and transport services across New Zealand, from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload freight safely, utilizing forklifts when necessary
• Handle freight carefully to prevent any damage
• Meet branch goals by efficiently scanning freight on time
• Operate all equipment safely and skillfully
• Foster strong working relationships and communicate effectively within the team

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a clean Full New Zealand Class 1 driver's license is mandatory
• Forklift license with Occupational Safety and Health certification required
• Class 2 driver's license is preferred
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement is advantageous
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Prior experience driving on New Zealand roads

Additional Information

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
