Role Overview
This Franchisee in Training opportunity is designed for passionate retail leaders aiming to own and operate their own franchise store. You will gain hands-on training from experienced operators, covering diverse markets within the New Liskeard-Timmins region, with the ultimate goal of managing your own store. This position requires entrepreneurial drive, community involvement, and mobility.
Workplace Details
- Working hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Regular travel within the assigned territory and occasional overnight trips to the Ottawa Home Office and other stores are expected.
- The exact store location within the region will be identified early in the interview process, typically within 100km of this location.
Training and Development
The program includes completion of educational modules, assigned projects, and a formal mentorship to build leadership and entrepreneurial skills. On-the-job training involves shadowing existing franchisees, engaging with store teams and customers, and gaining experience in areas like store and staff management, administrative duties, reporting, and community involvement.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary reflective of the retail market ($74,500 - $111,800 annually).

Candidate Profile
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or equivalent retail experience.
- A minimum of three years retail experience, including at least one year supervising staff.
- Strong leadership with the ability to coach diverse team members and adapt management styles.
- Proficient computer skills and quick adaptability to new systems and procedures.
- Excellent communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Active engagement in community activities or non-profit organizations.
- French language skills required in francophone regions.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience using sales data and customer feedback to guide business strategy.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques.
- Familiarity with Workday or comparable workforce management software.
- Bilingual in French and English considered an asset.
