Crossing Hurdles is collaborating with a pioneering AI research lab based in the US, seeking seasoned finance professionals for a remote freelance opportunity. This role involves leveraging your expertise in financial planning and analysis to assess AI-generated financial outputs, ensuring their accuracy and relevance within complex finance domains. This position is unique and differs from traditional finance roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-produced FP&A results for correctness, pertinence, and quality.
- Detect and highlight errors or deficiencies in financial logic and modeling processes.
- Deliver well-structured written critiques to enhance AI-generated financial content.
- Handle scenario-driven tasks encompassing forecasting, budget formulation, and variance analytics.
- Operate autonomously on a flexible, asynchronous schedule maintaining steady weekly availability.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years' experience in FP&A or a parallel corporate finance role.
- Experience titles such as FP&A Analyst, Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner, or Financial Reporting Analyst are relevant.
- Advanced qualifications like CFA or MBA with a finance specialty are preferable.
- Expertise in forecasting techniques, financial modeling, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent written communication skills to precisely express financial reasoning.
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver results without direct supervision.
Work Expectations and Format
This role is fully remote and supports asynchronous work hours. Candidates should maintain consistent weekly engagement to maximize opportunity for ongoing contracts. High-performing contributors may secure retainer contracts for long-term collaboration.
Compensation Details
- Hourly rate ranges from $100 to $125 USD.
- Payments processed biweekly through Deel.
- Expected commitment is between 15 to 20+ hours weekly, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Long-term contracting possibilities with retainer options for exemplary performance.
