Floor Care Technician

Role overview

Proforma Health is looking for a Floor Care Technician to help maintain polished, sanitary, and safe flooring throughout a long-term care setting in Oxford, Alabama. This position focuses on keeping resident rooms and shared areas clean and well-maintained while supporting a respectful, team-focused care environment.

What you will do

• Carry out cleaning, buffing, and refinishing work on floors across resident and common areas.
• Use floor care machinery and tools safely and correctly.
• Record completed tasks and other relevant work activities as required.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and facility safety practices at all times.
• Notice and report hazards or other safety concerns promptly.
• Interact in a courteous and supportive way with residents, coworkers, and staff.

What the role requires

Applicants should have a high school diploma or an equivalent credential. Prior experience in floor care is preferred, though not required. The job involves repetitive physical tasks, following directions carefully, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
