Position Summary
We are currently looking for a meticulous and analytical Financial Analyst to strengthen our finance department. This vital role involves financial reporting, in-depth financial analysis, and process enhancements that promote accurate accounting and support business decision-making. The analyst will handle various financial tasks and provide insightful, data-driven analyses to meet ad hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and scrutinize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closures.
- Examine financial data to detect patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts.
- Create and maintain KPIs, reports, and dashboards to deliver actionable insights for management.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Support both internal and external audit processes, including preparing relevant documentation.
- Work collaboratively with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams.
- Identify and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting team members when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- CPA certification or eligibility is preferred.
- Three to five years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting protocols.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or Maximo.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
