Role Overview
As a Finance Analyst based in Singapore, you will support the Technology Finance team by managing financial reports, budget tracking, and asset management, leveraging your expertise at the crossroads of finance and IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and analyze procurement and financial reports utilizing SAP and other enterprise software.
- Ensure timely invoice processing and reconcile technology-related expenditures accurately.
- Maintain precise financial records and uphold data consistency across various systems.
- Collaborate with senior technology leadership to oversee and optimize budget usage for IT projects and ongoing operations.
- Assist with contract renewals and budgeting for software and hardware assets.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring spending against forecasts and identifying discrepancies.
- Compile monthly dashboards and financial insights specifically for the Technology Finance division.
- Manage IT assets including inventory, distribution, and decommissioning of equipment like laptops.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and support audit processes.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of finance experience preferably within technology-centric environments, financial institutions, or consulting firms; new graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome.
- Proficiency in Excel with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills capable of interpreting complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strict approach to managing sensitive financial information.
- Experience in process optimization and automation within finance functions.
- Familiarity supporting PMO activities in technology or banking projects is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and quick to learn in dynamic work environments.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently managing varied tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of SAP or similar ERP platforms is highly preferred.
- Understand financial classification of technology expenses as capital expenditures or operational expenditures.
