About the Role

The Facilities Support Officer is part of the SAPOL Facility Management Unit (FMU) within the Physical Assets Services Branch (PASB), working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. This role is pivotal in assisting with facilities management for South Australia Police, ensuring the upkeep and functionality of the police facility portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate facilities management activities, including entering accurate job records and maintaining essential databases.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with invoice processing and coding tasks.
  • Respond to breakdowns and preventive maintenance work requests promptly to support continuous facility operations.
  • Support accommodation management, minor maintenance projects, refurbishment, and compliance monitoring under the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA).
  • Contribute to overseeing the built asset portfolio of buildings and police facilities throughout South Australia.

About the Physical Assets Services Branch (PASB)

PASB consists of seven units focusing on various infrastructure and asset management functions. A unified 'one team' approach, emphasizing problem-solving and responsiveness, guides the branch toward delivering excellent service and achieving organizational vision and strategy.

Special Conditions and Requirements

  • Applicants must hold current Australian work eligibility and will undergo a criminal history check.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties at a similar remuneration level when required.
  • Some duties may require out-of-hours work and occasional intra/interstate travel.
  • Participation in SAPOL's iEngage program is mandatory.

Further Information

The role offers a salary range of $74,095 to $78,694 per annum classified as ASO3. The position is a short-term contract extending up to August 30, 2027, and is open to all applicants, including encouragement for First Nations peoples and individuals with disabilities to apply.
