Facilities Engineer

About the Role

KAIZEN Asset Management Services, a well-established property management company in Dubai, is hiring a Facilities Engineer to help keep its residential, commercial, and retail properties running smoothly. The position focuses on dependable building operations, well-maintained infrastructure, and a high standard of comfort, safety, and service for tenants.

In this role, you will take ownership of essential building systems and support the overall performance of the properties through structured maintenance, quick issue resolution, and proactive planning. A strong technical background, practical facility management experience, and a problem-solving mindset are important for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation, upkeep, and repairs of core building systems such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Carry out scheduled inspections to spot maintenance gaps or safety concerns and address them promptly.
• Set up and run preventive maintenance plans to support efficient and reliable system performance.
• Work with outside contractors on repairs and renovation work while ensuring quality expectations and budget limits are met.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work completed, related costs, and equipment stock or inventory.
• Handle tenant service requests and complaints quickly and work toward timely resolutions.
• Perform energy reviews and introduce measures that help reduce consumption and improve building efficiency.
• Stay updated on current facility management practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure all work follows applicable health and safety requirements and supports a secure workplace.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant hands-on experience in facilities management or a similar position.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems used in commercial and residential properties.
• Working knowledge of CAD tools and facilities management software.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication and strong people skills.
• Ability to work on your own and manage priorities effectively.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety rules and standard practices.
• A valid UAE driving licence and access to reliable transportation.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
