Job Overview

The Executive Director of Technology Operations leads the operational management, governance, and execution of the company's technology function. This role ensures alignment of technology systems, infrastructure, resources, development processes, and daily activities with strategic business goals to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute technology operations strategies that support company and technical objectives.
• Convert technology roadmaps into actionable operational plans and measurable results.
• Drive operational excellence across software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud management, and IT services.
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure smooth delivery of technology initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise technology projects, managing portfolios, budgets, resources, and priorities to maximize value.
• Ensure timely, on-budget, and within-scope project completion with clear performance dashboards for leadership.
• Standardize and improve technology processes and policies across SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, Agile, and project management.
• Enhance efficiency through automation and workflow optimization, maintaining compliance with governance and regulations.
• Manage enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and operational support to guarantee availability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead service delivery excellence via monitoring, incident resolution, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to safeguard systems and data, manage operational risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics using analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Align technology operations closely with business priorities through cross-functional collaboration with product, IT, finance, HR, and other units.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering innovation, accountability, operational excellence, engagement, and leadership growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or closely related fields; Master's or MBA preferred.
• At least 18 years of relevant experience in technology operations, IT management, or engineering operations with 8+ years in senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability managing large-scale technology organizations, driving digital transformation, and overseeing enterprise operations.
• Strong expertise in software development operations, cloud infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and governance.
• Experience with multinational enterprises or fast-growing, technology-focused companies is advantageous.
