About the Position
The Pearland Police Department is looking for a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant to deliver superior administrative support within public service. This role provides essential assistance to the Chief, Assistant Chiefs, and departmental executives by managing schedules, correspondence, and office functions to ensure smooth operations.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26.53 to $31.09, commensurate with experience. Employees receive full coverage of dental, long-term disability, and life insurance premiums, with most of the medical premium costs covered for employees and their dependents. Key Responsibilities
- Welcomes visitors, manages incoming calls, schedules meetings, and coordinates conference calls.
- Drafts official correspondence, such as letters of commendation and meeting agendas on behalf of executive leadership.
- Manages executive calendars and coordinates travel arrangements.
- Prepares various documents including reports, memos, financial statements, using common office software.
- Oversees office services including records management, departmental finances, and housekeeping support.
- Processes invoices and assists the training division with reimbursements and per diem management.
- Administers payroll-related tasks including time entry, monitoring staff attendance, and report generation.
- Maintains confidential records through scanning, filing, and archiving in software systems.
- Organizes presentations for ceremonies and coordinates large-scale training events.
- Assists in gathering data for Public Information Requests.
- Fosters positive relationships with organizations affiliated with the Police Department.
- Provides trustworthy and confidential counsel to executives on diverse matters.
Education, Experience & Licenses
- Associate degree or equivalent specialized college coursework in business or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of four years administrative experience at mid to senior levels.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Notary Public certification.
